Quick Guide

What is it?
A mojito is a cocktail that consists of five key ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water and mint.

Where is it from?
While the exact origin of this classic cocktail is the subject of debate the birthplace of the mojito is in Cuba.

What does it taste like?
A mojito shouldn't be overly sweet, minty nor limey. The emphasis should be on is on the soda and rum. It is very refreshing. They go down so easy on a hot summers afternoon.

Where possible used crushed ice instead of ice cubes in your mojitos. Crushed ice will melt faster, which is a good thing in a drink with such strong flavours. The extra surface area of crushed ice also means a colder drink.
