Right out of the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, the Singapore Sling is a cocktail you won’t forget in a hurry. The deft mix of fruit juices, liqueurs, cherry brandy and gin and produces a cocktail with an enticing flavour that is all so easy on the eye – perfect for Summer!

Tip
Singapore Sling’s have a red hue because of the cherry brandy and grenadine used. It is claimed by some that the original Singapore Sling recipe actually used a clear, dry brandy. This would have resulted in a light-colored drink.
Ingredients
- 30ml gin
- 15ml Dom Bénédictine
- 15ml Cointreau
- 15ml cherry brandy
- 15ml grenadine
- 200ml pineapple juice
- 1 dash bitters
- 1 dash lime juice
Method
1. Put all the ingredients into a shaker with ice.
2. Shake until a frost forms on the outside.
3. Strain over ice into a tall glass.
